Dance Stars Team: Challenge yourself and upgrade you skills!

We are proud to present a once in a life-time opportunity to work with world renown team of teachers during the two weeks of the Advanced Summer Intensives, ages 13 and up (Monday through Saturday), you choose the sessions:

Week 1 July 20th - 25th;

Week 2 July 27th - August 1st;

Schedule: 

(Monday through Friday)

    9:00 - 11:00 am Ballet 

11:00 - 11:45 am Pointe 

11:45 - 12:00 pm Break

12:00 - 1:30 pm Variations

2:00 - 3:30 pm Jazz/Contemporary

The Advanced Summer Programs are for dancers 13 and up who have had strong ballet training. They are professional training programs for motivated students to improve technique, skills and repertoire while building the stamina required in today’s dance world. The faculty is well rounded - you may experience classes in Ballet, Pointe, Conditioning, Variations, Contemporary & Jazz!

The Program combines two Ballet Techniques:
Vaganova Method & American-style Ballet (Balanchine)

Meet our Summer Faculty: 

  • Artem Yachmennikov, former principal dancer San Francisco Ballet, Dutch National Ballet, Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theater. Melbourne City Ballet Theatre Artistic Director. 

  • Colin Fullertrained at The School of American Ballet in NYC. While at Juilliard, Colin has performed works by Merce Cunningham, Lar Lubovitch, and Jose Limon.

  • Jakki Kenney, choreographer, teacher, adjudicator. Jakki has trained at Broadway Dance Center, New York, ran by Wes Veldink. She is the Artistic Director at Raskin Dance Studio and a judge with Revolution Talent Competition.

  • Andrea Harvey, American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum Certified, Andrea is a Professional Ballet Dancer with advanced training in: Balanchine, Cecchetti, Vagonova, Cuban, & ABT Cirriculum. She has been performing since 2007 to 2009 with Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Orlando Ballet as Soloist and Principal Dancer since 2010-2017! 

Andrea Harvey

Ballet, Pointe, Variations. Week 1

American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum Certified, Andrea is a Professional Ballet Dancer with advanced training in: Balanchine, Cecchetti, Vagonova, Cuban, & ABT Cirriculum. She has been performing since 2007 to 2009 with Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Orlando Ballet as Soloist and Principal Dancer since 2010-2017! 
She has also an extensive carreer as Cabaret Exhibition Champion famous for performing and coaching all around the globe: Guangzhou, Moscow, Hong Kong, South Africa, all over the US! 

Artem Yachmennikov

Ballet, Pointe, Variations. Week 2

Mr. Yachmennikov graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. He was the first soloist with the world famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow; a soloist at The Mariinsky Theater (Kirov) in St.Petersburg; and a principal dancer at the Dutch National Ballet, which is one of the most prestigious European theaters. He was also a principal dancer at San Francisco Ballet, one of the largest and long lived professional ballet companies in the United States. He performed on the most prestigious ballet stages in the world such as Covent Garden in London, Grand Opera in Paris, Metropolitan Opera in New-York, The London Coliseum Theater, and Champs-Elysees Theater in Paris. Mr. Yachnmennikov enjoyed the honor of receiving an invitation from Her Royal Majesty Queen Beatrix of Netherlands to attend an official ceremony recognizing his artistic accomplishments. Artem is also currently the Artistic Director of Melbourne City Ballet Theatre.

Colin Fuller

Contemporary

Colin Fuller, native to Florida, trained at The School of American Ballet in NYC. While at Juilliard, Colin has performed works by Merce Cunningham, Lar Lubovitch, and Jose Limon. He has also worked closely to perform new works by Kyle Abraham, Brian Brooks, Camille A. Brown, and Kate Weare among others. He has had his choreography presented at various Juilliard workshops and has collaborated with composer Nathan Pezzotti in in a new work for Juilliard's Choreographers and Composers Concert in 2014.

Jakki Kenney

Jazz & Contemporary

Jakki Kenney is a teacher/choreographer born and raised in central Florida.  She started dancing when she was three years old at Raskin Dance Studio where she regularly attended dance conventions, traveled during the summers to study in LA and NYC, and received the best training possible.  Before graduating High School Jakki was flown to Los Angelos to do a photo shoot with a top photographer for her title as Dancer Of the Year for Urban Jamm Dance Convention.  After graduating high school she moved to New York City and entered the Professional Dance Program at Broadway Dance Center ran by Wes Veldink to continue her studies. Jakki has danced for Aaron Carter, was in a movie with Tom Seleck, and has assisted a number of dance teachers at conventions including Jeff Amsden who teaches for Tremaine Dance Convention.  She has since then been teaching all styles of dance for the past sixteen years all over Central Florida.  Her choreography has received many awards from all over the US. Currently she is the Artistic Director at Raskin Dance Studio and a judge with Revolution Talent Competition. While still creating and evolving into the choreographer she has become and is still becoming she spends a lot of her time with young dancers coaching them on technique, performance, and team building.

 

One Week: $350
Two Weeks: $650

*A registration fee for non-MCDC members of $35 is required upon registration for the Summer Intensive.
